Colby seniors studying studio art have spent four years working toward capstone projects in printmaking, photography, painting, and sculpture. This exhibition offers participating students the opportunity to exhibit their work and participate in the museum’s exhibition process from start to finish.
Seniors have worked with studio art professors in their respective disciplines and members of the museum staff to realize this collaborative project that celebrates the culmination of their studio art studies at Colby.
The exhibition will open with a reception and awards ceremony at the museum on May 4, from 5–7 pm.
An exhibition catalogue containing images, artists’ statements, and analyses of works in the show written by students in AR356 Writing Art Criticism will accompany the exhibition.
Participating Colby senior artists are Mary Bevilacqua, Muna Brown, Erin Coughlin, Kimkim Dang, Libby Johnson, Kayla Merriweather, Chauncey Morgan, Carrie Nguyen, Burr Rhoads, Altie Rogers, Amy Schubert, Sydney Tobia, and Wendy Wei.
