3. Larynx - Exhibitions

Michigan-based funk instrumental group Vulfpeck was formed in 2011 by Jack Stratton, Theo Katzman, Woody Goss, and Joe Dart, all students at the time at the University of Michigan. In March 2014, the band released Sleepify, comprising 10 silent tracks, to the music service Spotify, and encouraged fans to stream the album continuously while sleeping. Royalty fees paid by Spotify were used to cover costs of Vulfpeck’s free-admission tour of the U.S. later that year.

Vulfpeck created “On Poince”—a cover of the old standard “Poinciana”—that sounds as if it might have been recorded from deep within its referenced organ, the larynx.
